Writing Center
My trip to the writing center visit was very helpful because my writing fellow helped me clear up on things that I was confused on. We worked on clearing up repeated words for example very. The trip there led me to take out a lot of rambling and a lot of run on sentences. Although I still have a lot of things to work on I would say my paper got a lot better.
I still need to work on my transitions because I know that those are lacking and I know I also need to work on my conclusion. I struggle with conclusion because I can't tie things together in a paper or in actual conversation. It is one of my most tremendous flaws in the way of English.

Goals
I feel like I set my goals on what I can accomplish although this isn't exactly what I personally think this is what you should do. As a person I try to set my goals on what I think I can accomplish. I feel like the reason I do this is because if I try to do something and then don't do it I feel as if I haven't tried my hardest. I feel as if I don't complete my goals that I have set for myself then I have just not put forth the effort to do so.
If I were to apply my goals as to what I really want to strive for I would have to change who I am as a person. I am just not the person that is able to deal with that and although that might not be a great feature it is one thing that makes me who I am. Should I change who knows what I would be like might be better might be worse I know that I would be different.

Literary Analysis
Currently in my literary analysis I am on the third page after writing a intro and two body paragraphs. However the other paragraphs have not come quite as easily as the first three. I am struggling with more of the filler for the rest of the paragraphs so I suppose you could say that I am having a really bad case of writers block. Something that has worked for me in the past when this has happened before is to just set a certain amount of time just to write and don't do anything else until that time is up. However due to time constraints I have to really force myself to work at a more elevated pace so that idea has gone out of the plan.
Fortunately if there is one thing I can do it is last minute everything even though it isn't exactly a great skill to have it comes in handy for things like this. I suppose things could be worse I could only be on two pages with three complete paragraphs.

Christmas
My family Christmas plans is odd in a way that we can make a plan a year in advance and remind people every week but they will somehow find a way to make that plan no longer work at the last second. By doing this it forces my family to make a decision to either go to the side that makes the plan no longer work or go to the side of the family that we had made plans with originally. Somehow we always end up going to the family that changed the plans. We typically just go there and exchange gifts and then leave. As apposed to going to the other side of the family's house where we would exchange gifts, eat a meal, and then go do some sort of family activity. Which seems lame but it beats just walking across the street and doing nothing the rest of the day.
The only real reason I feel as why we still go to the people who changed the plans house is because we live so close to them so we kind of have to go there because nobody wants to have to deal with the numerous awkward encounters later. Unfortunately due to the lack of our ability to deal with awkward encounters I don't get to see the other side of my family very often so my relationship with them is very weak. Also I feel as if my family is kind of pitted against each other due to the fact that people on one side will get very irritated if you don't spend every waking moment with them. Thus being the reason why my holidays are very weird.

Symbolic Story
Everyone was lost in the building after something tripped the power. It seemed odd that for a place that often had regular blackouts that only one person had any sort of light. This blackout seemed off time in relation to the others. When trying to leave everyone came to the quick realization that the doors were locked from the outside. Immediately everyone looked to the man with the flashlight and the woman with the key to the cafeteria. Immediately people started looking up to them till they realized that they could be in that position if they could just get the light or the key. So people started to write letters and leaving them at the door acting as if the outside was trying to help them. Eventually the letters from the outside gained the people who wanted power in a higher position than those with tangible power.
The key and flashlight was meant to symbolize respected power that people couldn't really misplace. However when people started making false letters they put themselves in a place of higher power. The letters symbolize the power that could be gained from greed.
How To
How to write a blog as a freshman in high school for Dr. D. First you need to get your platform of where you would like this blog to be. Most likely your teacher will have given this to you because chances are they will need to check your work. For you to get a grade that will make you and your parents smile you will need to write in complete sentences and use proper grammar. Would strongly recommend making it at least two paragraphs and submitting them on time.
Now for the actual writing parts of the blog. Sometimes blog entries will come to you in a flash other times you will have to sit down and work on an idea for a little while. Free posts are your friend just find an idea or thing that you like and write about it. Even if you get to your required amount of writing finish your entire thought. As a teacher seeing a student go that extra distance is very nice. If you follow all of these steps you should do pretty good.

Critical Scene
A extremely important scene in Lord Of The Flies is the scene where Simon come crawling out in the dark and the boys kill him thinking that he is the beast. I think that this is a very important scene in the book because Simon was the only one that really knew that they were the beasts and that the thing on the hill was a human. Also that once they kill Simon everyone is extremely shook up and doesn't know what they should do know. Simon being the only one to really understand everything that was going on when he dies leaves both groups at a huge loss as well.
When they kill Simon the boys were all doing their dance that they do when they killed a pig and then it just so happens that this later on becomes the dance that they do right after they killed piggy. This dance always raised an alarming kinda of feeling when these young boys start dancing around and chanting "Kill the pig, Cut it's throat." This really shows the level of insanity that then brought the boys to killing their only real deep thinker.
Thanksgiving
Everything Thanksgiving my family comes in from all over to eat thanksgiving dinner together then everyone just goes back to where they came from. Some might travel from Texas some from Mississippi and they will all come in for about 3 days then leave. However depending on who is there this could be the time of your life or this could be a living nightmare. Certain sides of my family like different parts of the meal and if that part of the meal isn't made you'll be hearing about it for a while. For example my cousins that come in from Dallas always want some spin off of a Oyster dressing I used to eat it all the time and now I hate it with a passion.
I feel like this event is more of a time to more or less just catch up and watch what happens more than what it is actually meant to be for. I can almost predict what will happen everything thanksgiving. Everyone will take pictures and then we will eat and nobody will really say anything until one side of the family finds something that they don't like about the meal. Then everything spirals out of control until about 12 o'clock when they both give up on it and leave.

The gunslinger
I'm currently reading The Gunslinger by Stephen King and it is only getting better. I am currently standing among the remains of the people of the town. I say this because of the great amount of detail that Stephen King puts into his work. One day your watching a man get brought back from the dead the next your looking at the remains of what once was.
I extremely like the way this book is written because it feels like the reader is right there while everything is happening. If every book had as much detail as this book then I would read much more often and a lot less just because I'm forced to read. However one thing this book does lack is a backstory.

Human Nature
I believe that every human has the potential to be good and bad and that every human is born with a neutral moral compass. I think that it is up to whatever that person is exposed to first will define them most. For example if someone who hasn't really been shaped in any way gets exposed to something bad then they will most likely have a bad moral compass. I find that there is one exception to this idea that is if someone has a neutral compass and watches something bad happen then they may be moved to have a good moral compass.
The reason I think this is because it makes most sense to me. If I had a stronger religious background I might have a completely different outlook on things and the way they are around me. However since I do not I go with what makes most sense to me in my own head. So if this makes absolutely no sense to the reader then well I suppose in a way it is serving its purpose.

Fall Break Post
This post will consist of some of the things I did and or realized this fall break. Some of the things I did were hang out with some old friends, go shooting, and just chill around the house. While most of these things were very uneventful hanging out with some of my old friends turned out to be really fun. It ranged from getting all of the shady looks from everyone because you don't typically see people walking around just talking at 4 in the morning. To looking for the clowns that hang around town to "see what was their deal."
All of this lead me to realize that no matter how many friends you have everyone knows the group of friends that they have the most fun with. In my case it is the people that I don't get to see very often. Maybe it is just because I don't get to see them that often but I'm saying they are those people. I get to see these people maybe once or twice a year who knows if that's because if they were here all the time who knows the amount of trouble we would get into.

Reading Response
The book I am currently The Gunslinger by Stephen King as of right now The Gunslinger is hot on the trail of the man in black. I really like how this part of the book is written in a way that seems very present and understandable. This part of the book in my opinion is the easiest to read. It uses very modern terms that wouldn't typically be used in the book but due to the setting.
I also like how this part of the book is very suspenseful but doesn't leave the reader in a state of confusion. The suspense level I'd say ranges from a 4-6 which in my opinion is a relatively healthy range for a book. For example the Gunslinger comes across a town and finds a women whom he is not sure is a trap that is left for him or not. Personally that seems to me to be an almost perfect amount of suspense.

Reading Response
The book I'm currently reading is called The Gunslinger by Stephen King. It is a book about a gunslinger in a post apocalyptic world. So far I have really taken a liking for this book due to the very vulgar and crude writing style. It really feels like someone has just walked through a desert chasing a shadow that might not be real. The amount of detail that every book wants to have but doesn't always achieve.
An example of the details in this book would be when the Gunslinger walks into town and tells the man he has a mule. At first the many doesn't actually see the Gunslinger and just thinks hes a newcomer. When he turns around and sees the guns at his waste his tone changes and he starts to shake with fear. This makes me feel like I'm right there in the scene.

Free Post
My free post is going to be about what it is I plan on doing over fall break. Over fall break my cousins will be coming into town so that will be fun. We will probably go clay shooting on the last day they are in town before they go back to Dallas. We do this just about every time they come into town. I typically get a podium position maybe 2nd or 3rd. Typically goes my brother, my dad, me, my uncle, and my cousin.
At the house we will probably just sit at home and chill out. A lot of grilling will be happening because we always have a little competition as to which side of the family can grill the best. In general it will be a pretty typical weekend except for the fact that we will have some guests. Then when we come back I get to start thinking about what I want for my birthday.

Flash
It was a dark and gloomy night for some for others it was the night of their lives. It all depended on where you came from the Moon or Mars. Today would be the day we colonized earth. If you came from Mars this would be the greatest day because you would be first in line to go to this new place and be able to call it home. If you came from the Moon then today would be humiliating for you. Your entire life you have been told and proven that you will always be better than the people that live on Mars.
A group of Moon rebels decide that if they can't go to earth first then nobody is going to earth. They know that the shuttle is launching in 5 days. On the fourth day they make the plans because they procrastinated. They had to ideas destroy earth or destroy the shuttle. They decided that they were going to destroy the shuttle. They replaced the fuel with cheese and when the shuttle got into space it exploded.

Reading Response
The book I'm currently reading is a book called The Gunslinger by Stephen King. In terms of where it is located on the plot map I'd say I'm in the begging considering I just started this book. However I already have a liking for this book not only because I like the way that Stephen King writes but just the general idea of the book. It doesn't even depend on if it is showing you some action that is going to be solved or not.
I have high hopes that this book will not only provide a good story but have a very crisp and clear plot. If it has all of these and a good story than it will be for sure a page turner. I cannot wait to get to the rising action because I want to see what the main piece of action will be. There are currently so many different things that might become the main action that I get lost in the thought of trying to figure out what it might be.

Dear 12 year old
Dear 12 year old dwell on the good and not the bad it only gets better. Don't worry about the bad things just put them behind you and keep going. Let those bad things be reminders of what to do. Don't be afraid to go and do something risk take the gamble do something that could result in a bad thing. Its easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
Last piece of advice is to focus on the things that matter family and school. It's good to have a social life but not social over academic. Don't get caught up in bad stuff focus on school. Always try and hang out with your siblings just don't talk you'll learn a lot.

Ethics
I am currently reading a book about Ethics and what it takes to make something ethical and how what we think ethics is from what it actually is. I really like how the author also explained the different views on ethics from different cultural standpoints. For instance the author shows how ethics are seen with the story of Abraham being told to sacrifice his son. This contradicts the idea that god is love.
The author makes it clear and easy to read but still manages to go into great detail. I'm personally not very familiar with this author but I can appreciate the use of the examples. If you have any interest in ethics I would most definitely recommending reading this book. It will take time but it allows you to start seeing things through a whole new set of eyes.

9/11
On September 11th between the times of 8:14 AM through 10:28 AM a country was made stronger; made them realize that actions need to be taken for these actions. One of my favorite quotes from an anonymous speaker "We were just kids when 9/11 happened we are kids no more and we won't rest until justice has been served." I was just a kid when I found out about 9/11 now here I am 15 years later reading articles about something that I could describe so thoroughly. There was a total of 4 planes hijacked 2 crashed into the twin towers, one into the pentagon, and one into a field.
When I was 5 my parents told me about 9/11 after I watched a documentary on it and boy were they angry. Aside from the fact that they wanted to tell me this on their own time they also didn't want it to mess with me. I wouldn't say that it messed me up more like it formed me. Ever since I can remember I've always wanted to server in the military preferably joining the USMC. I suppose I have this historic attack on America to really solidify my mind on what it is I wanted to do.

Never go to Walmart at 11
I went to Walmart to go get my composition notebook and over the 3 minutes of which I was there I saw 3 people get kicked out and 1 person throw a tantrum. When I walked into the store this woman was screaming at the cashier that an item she was trying to buy was on sale. The cashier was telling her that the sale ended yesterday but the woman wanted that 25% off. I payed it no mind and continued to go into the store to get my notebook. I'm walking to the isle to get my notebook when all of the sudden these guys just charge around the corner all playing tag. Of course they're getting yelled at to stop by the staff. Once they stopped they didn't seem to think that they were doing anything wrong. So the staff had to point out to them that running around a store playing childish games wasn't appropriate. So I went check out and left. Never go to Walmart after 9.
Rangers Apprentice
What I liked most about the Ranger's Apprentice was the amount of work to make the book feel real. The book takes things that happened in Medieval Times and finds ways to make them fit into the book. For instance the high castle walls to keep the evil ones out. The image I see when I think of a castle is high walls and towers.
Something I didn't like about the book was the lack of action where I personally felt it needed to be. For instance when Will is training to be a ranger he gets into a fight only for the Ranger to come break it up for him. I personally felt that it would of been a nice time for a little bit of action in the book. I personally feel that the book could be brought up from a seven out of ten to a eight out of ten if it wouldn't of missed out on opportunities for action.

Some things everyone might want to know about me as a person. My Name is Alexander I have 2 siblings an older brother who is 20 and a older sister who is 17. I have always loved sports with my family always influencing me to do sports for fun. At the age of 10 I started forming a liking for soccer. My dream job would be to play soccer for Arsenal.
Some of my other hobbies would be playing video games, coding, and mixing music. Since I've always had a passion for music I wanted to try to make music so I taught myself how to do it at the age of 10. I always loved computers and coding always seemed interesting so I went to a camp to learn how to code and occasionally work on small programs. Any free time I get it is either spent doing one of my other hobbies or play video games.

This is what I liked most about The Enemy
by Charlie Higson was that it supplied so much detail in the book that it made
you feel like you were in the book. With every new chapter you got more and
more locked into the book. This book is a roller coaster of emotions sometimes
you feel happy other times you feel fear even though you just reading a book.
For example when one of the little kids gets taken by the adults you feel the
same emotion of his friends. Charlie Higson does a great job of explaining
everything to you the reader.
Whilst I was reading the book I started to
notice little hints to things that weren't that big but they were really neat
to notice and understand. For example when the scavenging party goes to the
mall to look for supplies some of the boys notice things they once had with
their families before everything happened. This in my opinion gives a little
perspective as to what it was like before everything went bad. As the reader you also see the leader of the
survival group go form a little boy to a man in a very short time.
