This is what I liked most about The Enemy
by Charlie Higson was that it supplied so much detail in the book that it made
you feel like you were in the book. With every new chapter you got more and
more locked into the book. This book is a roller coaster of emotions sometimes
you feel happy other times you feel fear even though you just reading a book.
For example when one of the little kids gets taken by the adults you feel the
same emotion of his friends. Charlie Higson does a great job of explaining
everything to you the reader.
Whilst I was reading the book I started to
notice little hints to things that weren't that big but they were really neat
to notice and understand. For example when the scavenging party goes to the
mall to look for supplies some of the boys notice things they once had with
their families before everything happened. This in my opinion gives a little
perspective as to what it was like before everything went bad. As the reader you also see the leader of the
survival group go form a little boy to a man in a very short time.
