What I liked most about the Ranger's Apprentice was the amount of work to make the book feel real. The book takes things that happened in Medieval Times and finds ways to make them fit into the book. For instance the high castle walls to keep the evil ones out. The image I see when I think of a castle is high walls and towers.
Something I didn't like about the book was the lack of action where I personally felt it needed to be. For instance when Will is training to be a ranger he gets into a fight only for the Ranger to come break it up for him. I personally felt that it would of been a nice time for a little bit of action in the book. I personally feel that the book could be brought up from a seven out of ten to a eight out of ten if it wouldn't of missed out on opportunities for action.
I also read this series, and I loved it. Trust me there will be plenty of action ahead.
